Holistic Lifestyle Coaching
Kristen’s gift for understanding human movement comes from a desire to reduce her own pain including chronic migraines and neck pain associated with postural misalignment and energy imbalances. Certified in personal training (NFPT), Pilates (STOTT) and holistic health (CHEK-HLC3), Kristen has been working as a fitness professional since 2001. Her experience working in a Sports Medicine clinic gave her insight to aid clients back to functional health. She also gained a wide breadth of experience working with clients whose needs ranged from cardiac rehab, pre and post-op bariatric, pre and postnatal, ACL and rotator cuff reconstruction, to knee and hip replacement. Incorporating holistic principles (thinking, breathing, sleeping, hydration, nutrition, movement) in her training and coaching has allowed Kristen to work through her own physical ailments and explore unconventional healing techniques with clients who weren't experiencing relief through traditional medicine and movement instruction. She brings to Balance Fitness Studio a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping others achieve a strong and balanced mind and body.
A Michigan native, Kristen studied theatre performance and human biology at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Since opening Balance in 2012, she has striven to provide a space for practitioners and clients to feel nourished, communicate better with their bodies, and heal in a peaceful, holistic environment.
